The Nevada desert was relentless. The dust choked the air, the sun beat down mercilessly, and the terrain seemed determined to break even the most seasoned racers. But for BILSTEIN-equipped drivers, this wasn’t just another race—it was a proving ground. The Mint 400, one of the most legendary off-road races in the world, tested the limits of both man and machine. And once again, BILSTEIN racers rose to the challenge.

Mastering the Course: Justin Park & Cole Andrews in Class 7F

In the punishing world of Class 7F racing, precision and endurance are everything. Justin Park and Cole Andrews knew this well as they lined up at the start, their truck fitted with BILSTEIN’s race-proven suspension technology. The course ahead was brutal, but lap after lap, they executed flawlessly—handling every deep rut and treacherous wash with unwavering control. By the time they crossed the finish line, they had secured 1st place once again. Remarkably, their truck looked cleaner than when they started, a testament to Park’s smooth driving and the unparalleled performance of BILSTEIN shocks.

A Battle Against the Odds: Cameron Brantz in Class 11

Not all victories are measured by a place on the podium. In Class 11, Cameron Brantz faced one of the toughest challenges of the weekend. Midway through the race, disaster struck—his car rolled. The crowd held its breath, expecting the worst. But Brantz wasn’t finished. With sheer determination, he flipped his car back over, climbed back in, and powered through the rest of the course. His perseverance earned him a hard-fought 7th-place finish, proving that true racers never back down.

UTV Racers Push Limits with BILSTEIN Black Hawk Shocks

For privateer racer Michael Mack, The Mint 400 wasn’t just a race—it was a statement. Outfitted with BILSTEIN Black Hawk Powersports shocks, expertly installed by Schmidty Racing Suspensions, he tore through the unforgiving terrain, his UTV handling every bump and jump with precision. Mack pushed his vehicle to its limits, showcasing the raw performance and durability of Black Hawk shocks. Meanwhile, Kaden Wells fought through the chaos, charging ahead to secure a strong finish crossing the line 3rd and proving his skill in one of the toughest off-road environments.

Schmidty Racing Suspensions’ Tyler Schmidt also took on The Mint 400 in the UTV Pro Open Class, determined to push BILSTEIN’s Black Hawk shocks to their limits. Every mile tested their resilience, and while an unrelated part failure kept them from finishing, the performance of the shocks was undeniable. Schmidt’s run showcased the rugged durability and fine-tuned handling that BILSTEIN is known for, proving that even in adversity, their technology stands strong.

BILSTEIN Black Hawk shocks are built for champions, offering:

  • Position-sensitive damping for superior stability on all terrains
  • Massive 60mm shock bodies for heat dissipation and endurance
  • Fully adjustable compression and rebound for precision handling
  • Race-tested durability to withstand extreme conditions

BILSTEIN: Built to Conquer the Desert

Through victory and adversity, The Mint 400 once again highlighted why BILSTEIN remains at the forefront of off-road suspension innovation. Whether it was Justin Park’s dominance, Cameron Brantz’s resilience, or the UTV class racers’ incredible performances, one thing was clear—when the desert pushes back, BILSTEIN pushes harder.

Congratulations to all our racers for their incredible performances! Stay tuned as we continue to redefine off-road performance—because when the terrain gets rough, only the best shocks will do.
